Winter
In winter Pila is the ideal destination for ski lovers, the ski resort has 70 km of piste, from 2600mt at Couis to 1200mt at Les Fleurs. Degree of difficulty is predominantly medium but you’ll find easy ski runs for beginners and others to challenge the expert skier.



Mario and Cristina, ski instructors and managers of the hotel, will always be available to advise and to escort you on a skiing experience to take your breath away.

Freeride
Pila offers many tracks, artificial or natural, smooth or with moguls, perfect for those who are fond of freeride.

Off piste skiing
In Pila it is possible to ski though virgin snow but please remember the dangers of avalanche. So if you choose to go off piste don’t cut across snow clad slopes, keep an eye on the weather bulletins and forecasts and carry with you the A.R.V.A. (mountain rescue location system)


Snowboard
Pila is home for all snowborders. It offers modern comfortable skilifts, perfect slopes and a snow park. The snow park was the first in the Aosta valley and has fixed structures modelled from the landscape, a half pipe, slides, fun box, a quarter and a medium jump.

Summer
In summer Pila is a destination for hikers, thanks to its wonderful landscapes, it is possible to choose many different routes, short or long, suitable for all the family and also high altitude enthusiasts.

With easy walks it is possible to reach a shepherd’s ”baita” and buy traditional Fontina cheese.

In Pila during summer time it is possible to experience free climbing, horse riding, freeride, rafting, canyoning, kayak, hydro speed, paragliding, and fishing in the Chamolè lake.

Pila in summer is ideal for mountain bike lovers. Taking the chair lift it is possible to experience the thrill of downhill and freeride tracks. Moreover using dedicated tracks it is possible to reach Aosta in just one descent covering a height difference of 1500mt.


Mario, the hotel manager, is a mtb instructor (UCI) and is always available to suggest and advise you on thrilling excursions.


In Pila it is also possible to reserve a hot air balloon ride and to play 9 holes of golf on the highest course in Europe.
